Did you know that push-to-start remote car starters are available at Ralph’s Radio in Vancouver and Victoria? We can integrate our Compustar PRO remote starters with most vehicles that don’t have a class key cylinder in the steering column. Let’s look at our push-to-start starter systems and talk about some of the other compatibility options available.
What is Push-to-Start Ignition?
With the increasing popularity of keyless entry systems, it didn’t take long for that same secure communication technology to enable you to start your car. While the Honda S2000 included a start button, you still had to put a key in the steering column. Modern keyless ignition systems communicate with a key fob in your pocket or purse to authenticate you with the vehicle. This transparent process lets you get in the car, sit down and simply press the start button to start the engine.
How Do We Integrate with Keyless Ignition Systems?
When we install a Compustar remote car starter in a vehicle with a keyless ignition system, we use a data interface module to talk to the computers in the vehicle. This module is programmed for that specific vehicle and provides the system with the authentication required to start. Once started, the vehicle will continue to wait for the presence of an original key in order to be driven. The security of your vehicle is never compromised in any way.
Vehicle Feature Integration
The same interface module that we use to start your vehicle is also available to control door locking and unlocking, trunk release and sliding door control on many vehicles. We can monitor the brake pedal and engine RPM to keep the system operating safely. The module doesn’t interfere with the operation of any of these factory systems.
Expert Installation
While the quality of the products we sell is important, how they’re integrated into your vehicle is just as significant. Our team of expert integration technicians has the tools and processes to install your remote starter to the highest of standards. Every electrical connection, every component mounting location and the way we run our wiring is planned and executed to promote reliability and performance. No job is done until it is done properly.
