If you are looking for a truly enlightening mobile audio experience, drop by Ralph’s Radio in Vancouver or Victoria and ask to listen to the Audison Full Digital Sound system. From the source right through to the amplifier, every nuance of your favourite music passes from component to component using a distortion- and noise-free digital connection. Read on to find out how the Audison Full DA HD system works and how we can use it to create a listening experience that rivals some of the very best home audio systems.
The Full Digital Sound Philosophy
Since Audison revolutionized the industry with the introduction of the bit ONE in 2008, consumers have reaped the rewards of improved clarity, detail and focus from their mobile sound systems. How could Audison improve on this design? Rather than convert the audio signal from digital to analog, then back and forth through each component in the signal change, the engineers developed a solution that is digital from start to finish: Full DA HD.
Source Unit – bit Play HD
The bit Play HD is a high-definition digital media player with a 500 GB solid-state storage drive. Load your favorite tracks or videos into the bit Play HD and pick what you want to enjoy. We can integrate the video interface into many factory-installed displays or develop an aftermarket solution that will meet your needs. The bit Play HD outputs digital audio in 24-bit, 96 kHz resolution from WAV or FLAC files, and can also play MP3, OGG, MP3 and AAC files.
Signal Processing – bit One HD
To configure and fine-tune your system for a realistic listening experience, the bit Tune HD digital signal processor accepts the Toslink digital output from the bit Play HD. We can configure crossovers, equalization and signal delay for each channel and speaker in your car. Once it’s set up properly, your system will sound like you are sitting at the console of one of the best recording studios in the world.
Amplification – Thesis and Voce Amplifiers
Audison offers two levels of amplification that are compatible with the Full DA HD system. For those fanatical about their music, the Thesis TH quattro four-channel, TH duo two-channel and TH uno monoblock amps are among the absolute best in the industry. The Voce series of amplifiers includes five-, four-, two- and one-channel solutions that are upgradable with the AV bit IN HD interface. The amazing AV5.1k HD includes the digital interface already. Don’t think for a second that because the Voce amps aren’t flagship models, they don’t offer exemplary performance. They are truly amazing in every aspect.
Tuning is the Key to Success
Once our team of technicians has finished integrating the Full Digital Sound equipment into your vehicle, we start the configuration process. Our Audison bit Tune processor takes frequency and phase response measurements from each speaker in the vehicle. The processor then calculates output level, signal delay settings and equalization curves for the bit Tune HD that results in a smooth and natural sound that appears to come from a phantom stage out in front of the listening position. The experience is truly mesmerizing.
