Many clients who come to Ralph’s Mobile Electronics are looking to improve the sound systems in their vehicles. Beyond the addition of premium speakers and amplifiers, one of the tools we use to optimize the sound of each high-end system is a Digital Signal Processor (DSP). Our product partner Audison recently launched a new bit One HD DSP that is truly a marvel of modern computing power and sound processing.
OEM Integration
The Audison bit One HD offers 12 channels of input for OEM integration. More impressively, the processor can synchronize the equalization, time alignment and resulting frequency response of these channels automatically. Few other products on the market have this capability. We can combine signals from a subwoofer, as well as front midbass, midrange and tweeter signals, into a full-bandwidth left and right signal from which to build the system.
Signal Processing
The bit One HD has 13 output channels. Each channel features adjustable crossovers, time alignment and equalization settings to maximize the performance of each speaker in the vehicle. Once we install new speakers in your vehicle, we can balance the frequency response from both sides, optimize the arrival times and ensure that the speakers will handle all the power we give them.
High-definition Compatibility
Using the latest generation of DSPs, the bit One HD can accept high-resolution audio at 192 kHz with a depth of 24 bits. Audio reproduction extends to 32k Hz, giving listeners another half-octave of detail. With high-resolution source tracks, the realism and accuracy of the mobile sound system can improve dramatically.
Input and Control Options
The bit One HD features six low-level RCA inputs, 12 speaker-level inputs, a stereo auxiliary input and a pair of optical SPDIF inputs. Almost any audio source is compatible with the bit One HD. Audison includes the new DRC-MP digital remote control with the bit One HD. The DRC-MP control can serve as the master volume for your system, as well as provide access to different presets and fine-tuning the subwoofer level. We can configure system presets for different listening positions, or different overall system tonal balance.
